Trades winds are swirling in the NBA. The L.A. Lakers got the ball rolling with stealing Pau Gasol away from Memphis. The Lakers are 7-1 with Pau and once Andrew Bynum returns, this team might just be the best in the league. The Suns and Mavericks bolstered their own rosters as well. The Suns brought Shaquille O'Neal back to the Western Conference and the Mavs welcomed back Jason Kidd. Kidd, was acutally drafted by the Mavericks 14 years ago. Will these trades get these teams over the top? Are there even larger ones to follow? Stay tuned....

Many experts are calling the Giants/Patriots Super Bowl the Best Super Bowl Ever. With the Game being the 2nd Most Watched TV Event, behind only the MASH Finale in '83, Eli Manning & the Giants were able to upset the heavily favorite Patriots Team.
Eli Manning & the New York Giants stunned the Tom Brady & the Patriots with a 17-14 victory. Eli Manning connected with Plaxico Burress late in the 4th Quarter to help end New England's undefeated season. Super Bowl MVP, Eli Manning, wins the Super Bowl a year after his brother Peyton Manning won the previous year. Eli's late 4th Quarter Touchdown was highlighted by Eli's ability to avoid a sack and connect with David Tyree, who made what some say as the best catch in Super Bowl history.
The New England Patriots will attempt to complete their mission of a Perfect Season. Already 18-0, Tom Brady, Randy Moss and Coach Belichick are marching into Arizona to take on the Red-Hot New York Giants in Superbowl XLII. The Patriots defeated a tough Chargers team who had to play nearly the entire game without their MVP LaDainian Tomlinson. The Giants, winners of 3 straight road games dispatched of the feel-good Brett Favre led Green Bay Packers in Lambeau Field to become NFC Champions. The Giants, who played the Patriots very tough 3 weeks ago, are all that stands in the way of the a season of pure perfection for New England. The Giants have been underdogs over the last few weeks vs. The Dallas Cowboys and the Packers. Eli Manning, Brandon Jacobs and Giants will continue to be overlooked as the Patriots will be heavily favored.
Just 4 teams remain in the quest to become Superbowl Champions. Brett Favre and the Packers kept their dreams alive last week vs. the Seahawks in the snow. They will host the streaking New York Giants and Eli Manning, who dispatched of the favored Dallas Cowboys in Dallas last weekend. Eli's brother Peyton didn't fare as well as the defending champs lost to Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers. They will head to New England to face the 17-0 New England Patriots and NFL MVP Tom Brady.
Some great Football was played this last weekend. Now, only 8 teams remain on the road to the Super Bowl. This weekend, the Seahawks will now travel to Green Bay as Matt Hasselbeck gets to square off against his old team the Packers and Brett Favre. Later, the red-hot Jaguars and Maurice Jones-Drew will have their hands full with the even hotter, 16-0, New England Patriots lead by 2007 MVP Tom Brady. Sunday's line-up will be impressive as well. LaDainian Tomlinson and his Chargers travel to Indy to take on Peyton Manning and the Defending World Champion Colts. The final game has the streaking NY Giants and Eli Manning heading to the Big D to tangle with Tony Romo and the Cowboys.
Wild Card Week in the NFL is always a blast. This year certainly will not disappoint. On Saturday, we will see the Red Hot Redskins travel to Seattle to take on Matt Hasselbeck's Seahawks. Later that day, we will see a tough Maurice Jones-Drew led Jaguars team traveling into a cold Pittsburgh Stadium to tackle the Steelers. Sunday's line-up is equally impressive. The early game has Eli Manning and the New York Giants heading south to Tampa Bay to mix it up with the Buccaneers. The games conclude that evening with LaDainian Tomlinson and the Chargers playing host to Vince Young's Tennessee Titans. Rest assured that the Patriots, Colts, Cowboys and Packers will be glued to the television to see what their futures hold for them.
It has been over 35 years since a team has gone through the regular season undefeated. At the start of the year, many thought that the Chargers or Colts were the likely challengers to the '72 Dolphins accomplishment. The '07 Pats are on the doorstep of many other records as well. Brady is one passing TD shy of Peyton Manning's '04 NFL record of 49 and Randy Moss needs one more TD reception to tie Jerry Rice's single-season mark of 22. The Patriots tied their own NFL record of 18 consecutive regular-season wins set in '03-04. They also broke the league mark of 70 touchdowns in a season by the '84 Dolphins, reaching 71 last Sunday. They are also 6 total points away from scoring the most in any single season (556 - '98 Vikings). With the Boston Celtics dominating the NBA and the Boston Red Sox the reigning champs in MLB, it's a very good time to be a fan in Bean Town.
This week we saw Andruw Jones land in Los Angeles with the Dodgers, Miguel Cabrera head to Detroit, while Eric Gagne just signed with Milwaukee. Some big moves are on the horizon. The largest story of the off season has been where will Johan Santana will end up? It seems like the World Champion Red Sox had the best shot, as Boston has been offering up young stars like Jacoby Ellsbury and Jon Lester to Minnesota for the 28-Year Old, 2-Time Cy Young Award Winner. The New York Mets and New York Yankees have a shot still, but it might require parting with David Wright or Joba Chamberlain. The Twins seem to be commited to a youth movement in '08. After trading away All-Star Outfielder Torii Hunter and getting Delmon Young from Tampa Bay, the Twins are stockpiling some good young talent in the A.L. Central for years to come. With 95 wins likely needed to win the A.L. Wild Card, teams are forced to compete now or rebuild.
MLB is still making headlines late into the year. Young Superstars Johan Santana and Miguel Cabrera are looking at joining new teams shortly. Santana is rumored to be the next New York Yankees Ace, while Cabrera may be traded to the Angels for a combination of young talent. In the NBA, LeBron James has had back-to-back triple double games and is averaging 31.3 pts, 8.3 rebs and 8.1 assists per game. Steve Nash is averaging a Career-High 19.2 points and 11.7 assists per game and at 33 years old, is showing no signs of slowing down. Dwight Howard has been an absolute monster in Novemeber and KG, Ray and Paul have the Celtics thinking about raising another banner in Beantown.
Tony Romo & Terrell Owens hooked up for 4 TD's in a victory over the Redskins, while Tom Brady & Randy Moss have hooked up for 4 TD's in the 1st Half. Bret Favre & the Packs improved to 9-1.
Dwight Howard & the Magic gave Garnett/Allen/Pierce & the Celtics their 1st loss on Sunday with a 104-102 victory.
In Baseball, Arod returning to Yanks, Sabathia/Peavy CY Young, Braun/Pedroia ROY, Bonds card price continue rollercoaster with a big drop after being indicted.
The Boston Red Sox might have the 2007 World Series Trophy, but there is more hardware being handed out. The Red Sox Dustin Pedroia has taken home the A.L. Rookie of the Year Award. Milwaukee's Ryan Braun has won the same award in the N.L.. Pedroia hit .317 for the season and Braun hit an awesome .324 while belting 34 homers. Most impressively was that Braun did not join the Brewers until May 29. Cleveland's C.C. Sabathia won the A.L. Cy Young Award. He had 19 Wins, a 3.21 ERA and 209 K's. Jake Peavy is expected to win the N.L. Cy Young Award. Jake swept the N.L. Pitching categories, finishing 1st in Wins (19), Era (2.54)& K's (240).
NFL's Leading Rusher, Vikings Rookie Adrian Peterson had a monster game Sunday with over 300 Total Yds & 3TD's. Another Rookies, Bills Marshawn Lynch, had 150+y & 2TD's with one being a pass.
Brady, Moss, Welker & the Patriots kept their undefeated season in tact with a huge win in Indy against Manning, Addai & Wayne.
The Boston Red Sox Are the 2007 Champions as they swept the Rockies. Led by youngsters Jon Lester in Game 4 it was the Red Sox pitchers from Josh Beckett, Curt Schilling & Dice K along with Papelbon to close it out that were the keys to the Red Sox domination. For the Red Sox it was a mix of Rookies Ellsbury & Pedroia along with veterans Ortiz, Youklis, Ramirez & Drew.
In Football, Tom Brady did it again with 5TD's & 300y; Drew Brees is getting back to form with 4TD's & 336y (3 w/ Colston); Joseph Addai 3TD, 100y & in London Brandon Jacobs had a career high 131y.
Also in Baseball News, the top player in all of baseball, Alex Rodriguez, has opt out of his contract with the Yankees.

Press Release: NAXCOM's adds Google to its New MultiMarketSelling Tool. (*More online marketplaces will be added including ThePit.com this coming summer).
NAXCOM.com's NEW MultiMarketLister (MML) Selling Tool, now allows users to have their items listed on Multiple Sites simultaneously. MML, which currently synchronizes a users eBay Storefront with their NAXCOM account, has just added Google. Seller's listings on NAXCOM will automatically be advertised on Google for Free. Seller's do not need a Google Store, instead NAXCOM links their listings to Google where potential buyers see their items. When they click on them they are linked back to NAXCOM, where they can then purchase the items.
Other sites that will soon be added to MML, include ThePit.com (July), eBay Auctions & NAXCOM's New Auction System debuting this summer. For users on ThePit, this means that soon you'll be able to list any of your holdings on ThePit with the other sites offered through MML. When it sells on any one of the sites, the listing will automatically decrement (if not the full quantity) or be removed (if the full quantity) from all of the other sites instantaneously.
To celebrate this revolutionary new tool, NAXCOM (the owner of ThePit.com) is hosting s Special Grand Opening Event. The event just started on June 18th and over the next 30 days, MML Sellers will get the opportunity to win over $4000 in prizes, including an offer for an '86-'87 Fleer Michael Jordan PSA 9 or an all expense trip to the '07 Cleveland or '08 Chicago National. *Please note: if you do not currently sell on NAXCOM or have an eBay Storefront, links are provided on information about selling on either one of the two sites.

B.J Upton (1st full year) .358/7/23, Todd Helton .393, Matt Holliday .371/6/27, Jose Reyes .352 (19 SB), Prince Fielder .295/10/29, Adrian Gonzalez .294/10/30, David Ortiz & Ian Kinsler 9 HR's ea., Josh Beckett (7 Wins), Sabathia (5-0), Penny (1.39), Peavy (1.75) & Maine (1.79). Baseball America, which gives the most in depth coverage on future stars and prospects, and ThePit.com, which focuses on the buying and selling of today's top stars and prospects, compliment each other very nicely. ThePit will be able to advertise to a large group of baseball enthusiasts on the Baseball America site, while Baseball America will be able to advertise to those who need the Baseball America in-depth information to help them with who to speculate on. Look for each site to begin its advertising and promoting of the other site in early February.

Press Release (January 10, 2007). Today, Major League Baseball and NAXCOM.com/ThePit.com "Sportscard Marketplaces" formed a partnership in which the bulk of ThePit.com baseball card inventory will be placed for sale on the MLB.com Marketplace.
"This is a great opportunity for ThePit.com and all of the Baseball Cards listed in ThePit.com Marketplace," said Eric Beckerman - CEO of NAXCOM/ThePit. "Because ThePit.com focuses on having large quantities of the top Rookie Cards of the top stars and prospects, ThePit's inventory is a perfect fit for the MLB.com Marketplace," Beckerman continued.
ThePit.com now has a little over 10% of its Baseball Card inventory listed on MLB.com with much more to be added in the near future. "We are very excited about what this MLB partnership will do for sales of ThePit.com Baseball Card products. ThePit.com & NAXCOM.com will also receive a lot of brand exposure as well, so it's a win-win for us." commented Bill Elder - VP of Marketing for NAXCOM/ThePit. "When we acquired ThePit.com from the Topps Company, we knew that we had to add more sales venues to get this incredibly unique amount of inventory in front of more collectors," continued Elder. "This relationship with MLB.com will be a big step in the right direction."
In its first few days, ThePit.com has already received quite a bit of sales. As more items from ThePit.com are added to MLB.com, and especially as Baseball Season gets closer, those that use ThePit.com are bound to see their baseball card portfolio increase significantly.
"Because there are so many baseball fans on the MLB.com site and because ThePit.com's inventory, the demand for ThePit items will grow substantially. This will not only create more liquidity, but will also increase the values of the baseball cards available on ThePit," said Kevin Klein - Business Development for NAXCOM/ThePit.
